Failed to Mention

I see in my last post, over a year ago, that I failed to mention that we had a little surprise in June of 2007, or should I say a BIG surprise. I found out that I was pregnant again! What a shocker!! And the bigger news was that I got pregnant in April! So I was about 12 weeks along when we found out. So Mattie was 9 months when I got pregnant. And since we have had another sweet little boy, Nicholas, born in January 2008. I had to quit working for my friend because things are really crazy around here!! The summer went by in a blur and now school has begun again. Our oldest started Kindergarten this year which is a blessing!! he loves it and has done just fine with the adjustment. Mattie however has had a hard time adjusting to his big brother going to school everyday and not having anyone to play with. he is getting better now though and soon he will start MMO and he will have something 3 days a week to keep him busy. Nicky will also be at MMO for one day so I will have one whole day to myself, imagine that, after five years of hardly being alone, I will have 4 whole hours to myself a week to do whatever I like!! I can hardly wait, although truth be told I will most likely be cleaning the house, grocery shopping, doing doctors visits, and catching up during this time, but if I can do all that without being interrupted, what a change that will be!!!

I just finished ready this book "I was a Really Good Mom Before I had Kids" and it was really great! Lots of good tips on how to even things out in your life and change your expectations about being a mom. It really helps to have someone put things into perspective for you. Sometimes you don't realize how much you are demanding from yourself until you actually see it in black and white. I never realized I put so much pressure on myself to be supermom, super wife, super-daughter, and super-sister. Wow!! It is a great relief to know other people are going through the same things.

I am going to try to keep up my blog now that I will have a little bit of time to myself each week. Here are a few pics of my sweet boys!
