Snow, Beautiful Snow!!

At long last, as seasons end, we have finally received a beautiful snow. It was well worth the wait. It began last night around 5:30 and snowed for about 4 hours. It was really peaceful and beautiful. It reminded me of when I was a little girl and we had snow EVERY winter! My dad used to take us in the trailor behind the tractor "over the river and through the woods" to my grandmothers house, hokey I know but we really did!! It was wonderful. I still get excited now anytime there is a call for snow, I'm not really sure why. I think it must be the peace it seems to give me, everything is pure,..... quiet,.... different somehow. My excitement has now transferred to my kids. When I went upstairs to tell them they could get up, they had already opened the blinds in their bedroom and were both looking at the snow. It was priceless!!

So the boys enjoyed the snow and went sledding this morning, all except Nicky, he did not like the snow at all. He tried to like it, but after falling several, several times face down into the snow, he decided he had had enough and began screaming!! So, that was it for him, his first experience with snow!
