Well, it certainly has been a while since I posted here! Although I do have a good excuse, I have a 5 week old baby and a 3 year old, and a part time job so all of that keeps me pretty busy!! So, I'm here to write about my choice to cloth diaper with our 2nd child. My sister in laws sister, is that confusing?, decided to do cloth diapers with her first child and she is very environmentally friendly so when I heard that I just thought, oh well, she is just trying to be PC in sticking with her environmental beliefs. However, when I checked into it a little more, I was impressed with the advancements that have been made in the cloth diapering industry!! I was picturing the old prefolds and painful pins that we were brought up in, however much to my delight, the new cloth diapers are just like disposables in shape and fit and ease of use. I have really enjoyed using them these first few weeks and am proud of myself for trying it. Of course I did have ulterior motives. The money that we will save is astronomical not to mention if we continue with our next child the savings will double. We are saving around $2000 by using cloth. We are even using cloth wipes! Plus is it so much better for our babies skin since we have found out that he has extrememly sensitive skin. All that to say we have used an awesome site for all of our cloth diapering needs
www.cottonbabies.com It has been great dealing with them and each time we have ordered things have been shipped very quickly and if ever there was a problem they notified us immediately. Plus they have great prices and all the latest things in cloth diapering. I can't wait to try the bumgenius diapers they have, I think they will be great for our sitters and for outings and church. Also, just for mentioning them in this post, they are going to give me a $10 credit!! What more could you ask for in a company?! They really have been easy to work with and everything has been delivered as promised. We currently use the Kissaluvs fitteds, the doublers, the super soakers, the diaper liners, the cloth wipes, the diaper pail and two liners and the deo disks and we have been pleased with all of the products. The Deo Disks are great and keep our nursery smelling%
