Ice?

Well, we are supposed to get some ice tonight, yuck. Why can't we ever get any snow? All we get is this crappy ice and everything shuts down! this really stinks! So of course like all other raving lunatics in Greer, I ran out to get the essentials just in case we can't get out tomorrow. Wal-Mart wasn't too bad and I was able to get there, get what I need and get home in less than an hour. Pretty good for me, I'm a browser!

Anyway, we have had an exciting weekend! Friday night we had our dinner party and it was great! Everyone had a wonderful time and the food Mike prepared was wonderful. We had crab lasagna which was divine! London broil and a roast turkey breast, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, cannolis, chocolate chip cookies, spritz cookies and a vegetable tray and wine for appetizers! We all ate way too much but it was great! Unfortunately I did not take any pictures! But the house was decorated beutifully with lots of candlelight and ambieance!!

Not to mention, our newest little neice was born on Friday afternoon about 1 pm and I had to run over to the hospital to see her! She is just beautiful, of course and a great size, 7 lbs 11 ozs.

So, on Saturday morning I had praise team practice from 9-11 for our program on Sunday, Heaven & Earth Rejoice. We got a ton accomplished!

Saturday night we had our praise team party at Shari's house and the food there was great as well! Seh really outdid herself! Spinach and artichoke dip, vegetable trays, swedish meatballs, spiced red wine, tequidos, it was all really great and a nice time to get together and just hang out! WE are always working so hard we barely have time to talk during practice!

We left pretty early since our program was the next morning. We had a great crowd at church, 175 at the early service, for our program. Everything just went wonderful!! I was so proud of our group and what we have accomplished in less than a year. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and the congregation just loved it. We got a standing ovation, in the presbyterian church!! It was just really awesome!

Sunday night we went to Joygift at the church and it went great, even with a last minute guest conductor, the choirs did fabulous! The music was beautiful and a great mix of solo, handbells, choir and the woodwind quartet.

Monday night then, I had a Mary Kay party for a girl on our praise team who just moved here from California and is trying to rebuild her business. it was fun! We had 7 people show up and a few outside orders so it ended up being a pretty good party.

This week so far I have just been relaxing. The house is in good condition so I have just been enjoying our decorations and keeping up with light housework. it really has been a nice few days.

So, I will post a few pictures from our praise team party and of Mike with Hannah Caroline.
