BRT


So, I went to my first class at the gym tonight, Barbell Resistance Training. wow! It really kicked my butt!! In a good way though. The class was great and not only was it resistance training but it really got my heart pumping and my body back into the groove. I think this may quickly become one of my favorites! We worked with a barbell (5 lbs on each side) resistance bands, a stability ball, a mat and a step aerobics step. We worked all the major muscle groups and by the end of the class (45min) I was like a piece of spahettii! I could hardly lift my arms to pick up all of my equipment to put it back. I know I will be so sore tomorrow I won't even be able to brush my hair! My triceps are already sore! So anyway, I am hoping to really tone up and I think these classes will really help me. It definately boosts my self image to know I can do the resistance training and I am definitely not trying to lose any weight but i figure if I don't get toned up after baby number one, then what is it going to be like after number two or number three? Scary thought! All saggy and stuff, not what I want. Tomorrow I am going to a Pilates/Yoga class which should be challlenging and relaxing all the same. Michael really loves the play area for the kids, it is beautiful with murals on the walls and a huge area to play and they have art materials for the kids and all kinds of educational things. It really is turning out to be a great place. So, I will update tomorrow, that is if I can even type. I amtaking Michael to have his picture made tomorrow in his halloween costume (a fireman) so I will post some of those pictures tomorrow.
